Guy McInnis, Senior Advisor

With decades of public service, financial management, and community leadership, Guy McInnis brings both practical experience and trusted insight to every client he serves.

As senior advisor at Connick & Associates, he offers strategic guidance, maintains strong relationships with state and federal policymakers, and works closely with clients to navigate challenges, secure resources, and advance their priorities. For our parish government clients, this includes guiding them through Louisiana’s capital outlay process — from setting priorities to securing funding and executing Cooperative Endeavor Agreements.

Guy began his career in public finance as director of finance and comptroller for the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office. He went on to serve as a justice of the peace and, later, a two-term councilmember at-large. From 2016 to 2023, he served two terms as parish president, helping lead St. Bernard through a remarkable period of recovery and growth. During his tenure, he championed economic development while helping secure federal and state grants for new bike trails and playgrounds and federal loans to improve water and sewer infrastructure.

A longtime educator and coach, Guy knows how to communicate clearly, build consensus, and keep projects moving forward. He holds a degree in accounting from McNeese State University and also serves as vice president of business development at Principal Engineering.

Guy has been married for more than 40 years and is the proud father of three and grandfather of eight. His work is grounded in a lifelong commitment to his community and to helping others succeed.
